The Museum

The Civic Archaeological Museum Cabras, opened in 1997, contains important testimonies of the territory from prehistory to the Middle Ages. Here are exposed materials coming from the settlement of Cuccuru is Arrius, documenting the different phases of occupation of the site from the fifth millennium BC in the early third millennium BC from the city of Tharros and the Roman wreck of Mal di Ventre, sunk in the first half of the first century BC and detected in the 1989. …read

Mont’e Prama

Mal di Ventre

The shipwreck was discovered in 1989 and was subsequently surveyed and excavated from 1989 to 1996 by the Archaeological Superintendence of Cagliari and Oristano, in collaboration with the National Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Gran Sasso. …read
